
Drummer Sly Dunbar and bassist Robbie Shakespeare are not only the most renowned rythmn section /producers in reggae; they are among the most celebrated groovemeisters in all of pop music.
The Kingston pair started playing together in the mid 1970s when reggae was really hitting its stride and have graced countless recordings and albums ranging from Lee Scratch Perry to Peter Tosh.
After their fame spread to the UK and US in the 80s they were recruited by Bob Dylan, Grace Jones and Gwen Stefani, amongst others too numerous to mention.
They have won major international awards and plaudits, over the years and once again this year were nominated as best producers at the 2007 Grammy awards in L.A.
Quite simply they are one of the best production teams in the world today.
